Dish Packages For Your Family

One of the top reasons to get satellite TV is the wide variety of programming available. By simply having a small satellite dish attached to your home and a receiver connected to your television set, you can bring hundreds of channels right into your living room at the touch of a button. Not only are there hundreds of English language channels available, but foreign language programming is a snap with satellite TV. You can get Spanish, French, Chinese or even Arabic channels for around $30 a month. Another great thing about programming on satellite TV is the family options that you can pick from.
Take for example the America’s Top 120, which is the entry level Dish Network package. Your children will love this package because it includes two versions of the Disney Channel. You will get one from the East coast feed, and a second one from the West coast feed. This package also in includes two versions of Cartoon Network, again one from each feed in the United States. Nickelodeon is also included in the America’s Top 120, which switches to Nick at Nite with plenty of comedy repeats like the George Lopez show. Finally, ABC Family rounds out the programming for families with this particular package.
If you are looking at comparing this with something from Direct TV, the closest package there is the Choice package, which offers 150 channels. While there is more content, and the price is about the same during the first year, you will notice a big price difference in year two. That is because the Direct TV Choice package goes up to nearly $60 a month, while this Dish package goes up to about $40 a month. Neither package includes the respective DVR service, so you will pay about $7 bucks extra with either company to enjoy the added flexibility of recording and playing back content on your own schedule.
