How To Build A Grow Room
When winter begins to blow, protecting plants is top priority for a gardener. Many look to greenhouses or outside buildings to do this, yet it is hard to be successful at growing the plants. By building a grow room and using LED grow lights, cultivating vegetables, flowers, or herbs will be a cinch. Also, because the environment is easily controlled, it is simple to start seeds early for the growing season. With a grow room one can enjoy growing flowers or eating vegetables throughout the year.

How to Build a Grow Room
1. First it will be necessary to choose the room that will be used to store and grow the plants. Typically a basement, sun room, or small closet are some suitable choices.
2. Next, if their is any carpeting in the room it will need to be removed to prevent any mold or mildew growth.
3. Cover any windows and doors with black plastic. This is done so that no outside light will enter the room. For the door that is used as the entrance, hang the plastic so that it will move like a curtain upon entering and exiting.
4. At this point, it is time to install the LED grow lights and fans. To make it easier to adjust the lights, make sure they can be moved up and down over the plants. A simple pulley will work well. Also, the plants should be on tables that can drain excess water. This is also possible with pot plates that sit under the plants.
